Learning to drive a boat is like to learning to drive a car: you need careful instruction and lots of practice before you can get behind the wheel. Coast Boating School LLC offers practical hands on boating classes in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Our instructors will teach you everything you need to know so you can operate a boat confidently and skillfully.

Coast Boating School offers hands-on training in all areas of New Jersey by licensed U.S.C.G. Captains certified by National Safe Boating Council in safety, maneuvering, handling and maintenance for pleasure boaters. We offer hands-on instruction that may be mandated by some boat insurances. Our Captains can also help you take delivery of your new boat so you can reach your dock with confidence. We offer boat deliveries and transportation throughout the east coast.

Boat U.S. Module Training

Perfect for the new boater or those looking to get into boating. Boat U.S. has worked with National Safe Boating Council to create the perfect training modules.

These contain groups of 2-4 people with a 3 hour training sessions on our boats.

This training is purchased per Module.

Module One: 

  • Close Quarter Maneuvers at idle speed.
    Including centering the wheel, throttle control, stopping, weathervane effect, 180-turns, and docking.
